Community Guidelines

Last updated: June 28, 2026

FansRevD exists because sports fans have opinions worth sharing. These guidelines explain what we expect from reviews and how we draw the line between honest critique and abuse. They apply to all ratings, written reviews, usernames, and avatars on the Service, and form part of our Terms of Service.

What We Want to See

  • Honest, specific opinions about the match. Tell us why a game was thrilling, dull, controversial, or unforgettable.
  • Constructive criticism of performance, tactics, or officiating decisions — fair commentary on how a team or player performed is welcome.
  • Passion. Disagreement and strong opinions about sport are part of what makes this fun. You don't need to be neutral.

What Crosses the Line

Personal attacks and harassment Reviews should be about the match, not personal attacks on players, officials, other users, or public figures. Commentary like "the defense was disorganized" is critique; targeting a named player with abusive, threatening, or degrading language is harassment.

Hate speech and discrimination Content that attacks or demeans people based on race, religion, nationality, caste, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic is never allowed, regardless of how it's framed.

Threats and incitement Any content threatening violence, encouraging harm, or inciting hostility against any person or group will be removed immediately, and the account will be subject to suspension.

Defamation Do not post false statements of fact that could damage a person's or organization's reputation (for example, false accusations of match-fixing or criminal conduct without basis). Opinions about performance ("he played poorly") are different from false factual claims ("he was bribed to lose").

Spam and manipulation

  • No promotional content, advertising, or unrelated links in reviews.
  • No coordinated rating manipulation (e.g., creating multiple accounts to inflate or deflate a match's score).
  • No bot-generated or AI-generated reviews submitted as if they were genuine human opinions.

Betting-related content Reviews and comments should not promote, advertise, or facilitate betting or gambling activity of any kind, consistent with our platform-wide anti-betting stance.

Explicit or obscene content No sexually explicit material, graphic violence, or obscene language.

Impersonation Do not create a username, avatar, or profile that impersonates a real person (including players, officials, or other users) in a misleading way.

Copyright infringement Do not copy and paste substantial portions of articles, other reviews, or copyrighted text into your review. Write your own opinion in your own words. See our IP & Takedown Policy for more.

How Usernames Work

Your real name and email are never shown publicly. Choose a username that doesn't impersonate others or contain prohibited content as described above. Usernames can be changed periodically, subject to a cooldown period shown in your account settings.

Reporting Content

If you see a review or rating that violates these guidelines, please report it or contact us at support@fansrevd.live with the specific URL and a description of the issue. See our Grievance Redressal page for our response process and timelines.

Enforcement

Depending on severity, we may:

  • Remove the specific content.
  • Issue a warning to the account.
  • Temporarily suspend the account.
  • Permanently ban the account for repeated or severe violations.

We aim to apply these guidelines consistently and fairly, but we retain discretion to make judgment calls based on context.

Questions

If you're ever unsure whether something is appropriate to post, a good test is: "Would I be comfortable if the player, team, or person I'm writing about read this?" When in doubt, focus on the match, not the person.
